When writing for a professional communications blog, I quipped that we can't ask, “What would Shakespeare do?” Today the reality is quick communication. We need to deliver messages rapidly. Directly.

If we don't, no amount of clever graphics wil regain our reader's attention. After all, we live in a society where our time and attention is pulled in a thousand different directions every day.
